QR Tickets

QR Tickets provide a secure and efficient way to identify attendees and manage event entry. When a booking is successfully completed, Eventixa automatically assigns a unique ticket number and unique QR code to each attendee, allowing event staff to quickly verify tickets during check-in.

Unlike a booking number, which identifies the entire order, each QR ticket belongs to an individual attendee. This enables independent check-in for every attendee, even when multiple tickets are purchased within a single booking.

Available in: Eventixa Pro

How QR Tickets Work

The QR ticket process is fully automated. Once a booking is completed or payment is successfully processed (depending on your payment workflow), Eventixa prepares the attendee’s ticket information.

The overall workflow is:

No manual ticket generation is required.

One QR Ticket Per Attendee

Every attendee receives their own ticket.

For example:

BookingAttendeesQR Tickets
1 Booking11
1 Booking22
1 Booking55

Each ticket includes its own:

  • Ticket Number
  • QR Code
  • Secure Ticket Token

This allows each attendee to be validated independently at the event.

Ticket Number

Every QR ticket is assigned a unique ticket number.

The ticket number is generated automatically using the configured ticket prefix and attendee identifier.

Example:

TKT-2026-000125

The exact prefix can be customized in the QR Ticket settings.

Ticket numbers are used for:

  • Ticket identification
  • Manual ticket lookup
  • Customer support
  • Event administration
  • Check-In (manual ticket search)

A ticket number is different from a booking number.

QR Code Generation

Each ticket also receives a unique QR code.

The QR code securely represents the attendee’s ticket and is used by the Eventixa QR Check-In system.

Every QR code is uniquely associated with:

  • Attendee
  • Booking
  • Ticket
  • Event
  • Event Occurrence (for recurring events)

QR codes are generated automatically by Eventixa Pro and require no manual setup.

PDF Tickets

QR tickets are delivered as professionally formatted PDF tickets.

Depending on your settings, the PDF ticket can include:

  • Event Name
  • Event Date & Time
  • Venue Information
  • Organizer Information
  • Ticket Name
  • Ticket Number
  • Attendee Information
  • QR Code
  • Additional Custom Content

The appearance of the PDF ticket can be customized from the QR Ticket settings.

Ticket Downloads

Eventixa allows attendees to download their tickets when Ticket Downloads are enabled.

Tickets can be accessed through:

  • Booking Details page
  • Customer email (when PDF attachments are enabled)
  • Download links generated by Eventixa

When a ticket is downloaded, Eventixa generates the latest version of the PDF using the attendee’s current ticket information.

Email Attachments

QR tickets can automatically be attached to confirmation emails.

When enabled, Eventixa adds the PDF ticket to supported customer emails after a successful booking or payment.

This allows attendees to receive their tickets immediately without visiting the website again.

Recurring Events

QR tickets fully support recurring events.

Each ticket is linked to the specific event occurrence selected during registration.

For example:

Weekly Photography Workshop

June 12 Registration
        │
        ▼
QR Ticket valid only for June 12

June 19 Registration
        │
        ▼
Different Ticket
Different QR Code
Different Validation

This ensures attendees can only use their ticket for the occurrence they registered for.

Relationship with Check-In

QR tickets are designed to work seamlessly with the Eventixa QR Check-In system.

During check-in, staff simply:

  1. Scan the QR code, or
  2. Enter the Ticket Number manually (if manual lookup is enabled).

Eventixa automatically validates the attendee before recording the check-in.

For more information, see QR Check-In.

Ticket Security

Every QR ticket includes a secure, randomly generated ticket token.

This helps ensure that:

  • Every ticket is unique.
  • Tickets cannot be duplicated by simply changing a ticket number.
  • Each attendee has an individual identity within the system.
  • Check-in validation is performed against the original attendee record.

Because each attendee receives their own QR ticket, multiple attendees within the same booking can enter the event independently.

Relationship with Other Features

QR Tickets integrate with several Eventixa modules.

  • Use Ticket Numbers when assisting attendees whose QR codes cannot be scanned.
  • Verify your ticket layout after customizing branding or additional content.
  • Test the complete ticket delivery workflow before publishing live events.

  • QR Tickets are created automatically as part of the booking workflow—no manual generation is required.
  • Ticket Numbers and QR Codes work together to provide fast and reliable attendee identification.
  • For recurring events, each QR ticket is valid only for the specific occurrence selected during registration.
  • QR Tickets work seamlessly with QR Check-In, allowing event staff to validate attendees quickly using either the QR code or the ticket number.
